European Weightlifting Federation Congress

Annual congress of European Weightlifting Federation was organized on the 13th of April at Holiday Inn hotel. The leaders of the federation presented the work done and future projects. Antonio Conflitti, the president of the European Weightlifting Federation, thanked the representatives of the international delegations for their efforts in the process of the championships. The president also mentioned the role of Armenia in the development of weightlifting, as well as for the high level organizational process of the European Weightlifting championships 2023.

Opening ceremony of European Weightlifting championships

We were honored to organize the most anticipated event of the year – The European Weightlifting Championships 2023. It took place on the 14th of April. The ceremony was another opportunity for Armenia to show its history, culture, sportive victories and symbols to the world.

By the way, the symbol of the European Weightlifting Championships 2023 was Armenian mouflon. The audience together with the symbol of the event went through the main stages of Armenian history and culture, like bronze, stone age, pagan era, pieces of Urartian culture, pieces of applied arts made during the development of winemaking, that testify the creative mind of Armenians, Christianity Epoque that was really a very important stage for culture and art development, the creation of the Armenian alphabet, colored TV.
The audience witnessed the official flag parade and speeches of Prime Minister of RA – Nikol Pashinyan, Chief of staff to the Prime Minister of RA – Arayik Harutyunyan, President of European Weightlifting Federation – Antonio Conflitti.
A film about the history of European Weightlifting Championships was shown and everybody listened to the official anthem of the championships presented by Aram MP3.

“The Hero of our times” awards

The ceremony of awards “Hero of our times”, organized by “Background Production” and “Public relations and information center” of staff of Prime Minister of RA took place on the 28th of December at Sports and Concert hall after K.Demirchyan. The director of the awards was Arthur Manukyan.
“Public relations and information center” of staff of the Prime Minister of RA presented 13 awards to companies, like “Pogo” – production of shoes, “Dream chocolate” – chocolate production, “Kroants” – clothes production and many others.
The guests enjoyed the wonderful performance by dance ensemble “Berd”, Kamo Seyranyan, all accompanied by Armenian State Symphonic Orchestra.
The Prime Minister of RA invited all the participants and the winners on the stage and thanked them all for their efforts and work.

20th anniversary of “Junior Eurovision” song contest

The 5th of December became a real fairy tale for the citizens of Armenia and the guests of Armenia. They witnessed the opening ceremony of the annual song contest “Junior Eurovision” and the lighting of the main Christmas tree of the country. The celebration was a double holiday for everyone as it was the 20th anniversary of the “Junior Eurovision” song contest.
The audience enjoyed the festive musical and the red-carpet ceremony organized by the Government of RA, Yerevan municipality, Public TV and the “Background Production” company.
The hosts of the event were Dalita, who presented Armenia in “Junior Eurovision 2011”, Aram MP3, who presented Armenian in “Eurovision 2014” and TV and radio host Hamlet Arakelyan.
Winners of the “Junior Eurovision” of different years arrived to Armenia and took part in the concert dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the song contest.
All the 16 participants of the contest walked down the red carpet into the National Historic Museum of RA to participate in the draw, that decided their sequence of performance.
People enjoyed the musical about the eternal battle between the good and the bad, where the good wins and the fairy tale characters, together with the contestants, spin the magic, the symbol of the “Junior Eurovision 2022” – the spinner.
“Background Production” was also the venue producer during the “Junior Eurovision” song contest main event that took place in Sports and concert hall after K. Demirchyan, as well as the company was responsible for the whole branding of the venue.

Concert dedicated to the memory of Arthur Grigoryan

Organization of the concert dedicated to the memory of Arthur Grigoryan at Sport and concert hall after K. Demirchyan. The audience had a pleasure to listen to the favorite artists, like Shushan Petrosyan, Nune Yesayan, Andre, Alla Levonyan, Zaruhi Babayan, Aramo, Emma Petrosyan, Erik Karapetyan, Sona Rubenyan and others. The concert was accompanied by the Armenian State Symphonic Orchestra, conductor – Sergey Smbatyan.

Within the frames of celebration of “Gyumri Day” and “Yerevan Days in Gyumri” Background Production company’s team designed, made and installed the pavilion of the “Gyumri Brewery” company.
